Dabul, Rochus to meet in semis

Brian Dabul and Olivier Rochus will meet for a place in the final of the Hall of Fame Championships after winning their quarter-final matches.

Argentina's Dabul defeated Jamaica's Dustin Brown 6-4 6-4 at the event in Newport, Rhode Island, to reach his first ATP Tour semi-final.

Belgium's Rochus, the tournament's No.4 seed, beat qualifier Raven Klaasen of South Africa 6-1 6-3.

There was good news for Australia in the doubles with Carsten Ball and Chris Guccione winning through to the semi-finals with a 6-3 6-4 victory over Jamaica's Dustin Brown and Poland's Tomasz Bednarek.

Ball and Guccione, who defeated top seeds Mardy Fish and Sam Querrey on Wednesday, take on Jonathan Erlich and Scott Lipsky who ousted British pair Jonathan Marray and Jamie Murray 7-6 (7-3) 6-3.

No.4 seeds Santiago Gonzalez and Travis Rettenmaier are also through to the semis after edging out Frenchmen Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 3-6 7-6 (7-1) 10-4.
