BMW Oracle team boss Russell Coutts bidding to win the America's Cup for a third different syndicate, said his team is ready to go for the 33rd Cup match, at Valencia on Tuesday morning (NZT).
The team prepared with a three and a half hour session on Sunday (local time) to ensure the boat and its equipment was 'race ready'.
"We had a very good sail. We're excited to get out on the race course tomorrow.
"No matter how experienced you are, these final moments before the first race of the America's Cup Match are always special," he said.
"Of course, there are some nerve, but I feel very positive about our team and our boat. I know that we've done everything we can to be ready, and that's all I can ask. Now, we are ready to race."
Team owner Larry Ellison was sailing with the team and said he couldn't wait to get racing.
"I can't think about anything but these next three races," Ellison said.
"We're 100 percent focused. The only thing we're thinking about now is winning two of the next three races."
Weather in Valencia is forecast to feature lighter winds in the morning but building during the day. Rain is forecast.
