Australia Sevens scrumhalf James Stannard is back in the fold at the Western Force after signing with the club for the 2011 Super 15 season.
Stannard's return to the Perth-based club comes as the Force look to shore up their stocks in the wake of a knee injury to promising scrumhalf Justin Turner at the IRB Junior World Championships in Argentina last month.
Stannard, 27, played 10 matches as a rookie for the Force in 2008 before moving on to the Brumbies, and heads west on the back of gaining selection for the Sevens team for October's Commonwealth Games in India.
RugbyWA CEO Vern Reid said the Force is thrilled to welcome Stannard back to the club.
"James is a quality player and during his time at the club previously was a popular figure amongst team mates and supporters alike," he said.
"He will complement our stocks at scrumhalf and we have no doubt he’ll fit into the system very quickly and be a strong contributor for the Force next season."
