The Lions' miserable season continued on Sunday as the Blues romped to a comfortable 56-14 victory in Johannesburg.
The visitors scored seven tries, with Joe Rokocoko touching down twice and Rene Ranger, Stephen Brett, Alby Mathewson, Paul Williams and Tom McCartney also scoring.
Brett added six conversions and three penalty goals, while it was a New Zealander who scored both of the Lions' tries.
Carlos Spencer crossed the line twice, while also receiving a second-half yellow card, and Herkie Kruger converted on both occasions.
The result saw the Lions claim two unwanted records. They became the first Super rugby side to lose 13 successive games - they lost their final match last term - and the first franchise to concede 500 points in a campaign.
The Lions have just next week's clash with the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein remaining and must win to avoid spending the whole season without a win.
A knee injury meant Brett was named on the bench earlier this week, but he was a surprise starter at Ellis Park.
The Blues scored their first try after five minutes, when Benson Stanley made space for Ranger to exploit and touch down. Brett converted.
Kruger missed a penalty before Brett was on the end of a fine team move to touch down and he converted himself to hand the Blues a 14-point lead after 16 minutes.
The Lions made numerous errors before Brett stroked over a penalty to extend the advantage further.
The hosts belatedly came to life when Spencer was on the end of a length-of-the-field break started by Tonderai Chavhanga.
Kruger added the extras, but the Lions' defensive weaknesses were ruthlessly exposed again when Mathewson darted through a static defence.
However, the Lions' hopes were boosted before the interval when Spencer finished off in the corner after the hosts advanced into the visitors' 22.
Kruger converted to cut the half-time deficit to 10 points.
Brett soon extended the lead with a penalty before Williams touched down for another try.
Brett added the extras to hand the Lions the worst record in Super rugby, as their points conceded tally went beyond 500.
The Blues were relentless and Brett kicked another penalty, but Spencer's sin-binning for a trip hampered the hosts' efforts.
McCartney touched down, Brett converted off the post and then Rokocoko scored his first try of the game.
Brett's conversion was unsuccessful but the Blues went through the 50-point barrier when Rokocoko scored his second try of the game.
Brett converted and the Blues played out the remaining minutes.
