Bertuzzi clinches late win for Detroit

Todd Bertuzzi scored in overtime to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL.

Saturday's win was Detroit's 14th straight at home to match a franchise record set in 1965.

Chicago's Jonathan Toews forced overtime with less than a minute left in the third period with his 23rd goal of the season.

Kurtis Foster and Patrik Elias scored within three minutes midway through the third period to overturn an Andrew Ladd goal as the New Jersey Devils beat the Winnipeg Jets 2-1.

Martin Brodeur made 22 saves to help the Devils to a fourth win in six games.

Paul Stastny's deflected goal on a power play in the third period edged the Colorado Avalanche past Dallas 2-1 while the NHL-leading New York Rangers bounced back from their surprise loss to Ottawa with a 3-0 shutout win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Jay Harrison scored the winner as the Carolina Hurricanes rallied to beat the Boston Bruins 4-2.

Justin Faulk, Eric Staal and Patrick Dwyer also scored for the Hurricanes while Cam Ward made 33 saves.

The Nashville Predators beat the Philadelphia Flyers by a similar scoreline to register their fourth-straight win.

The New York Islanders beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-2 while the Columbus Sharks defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1.

The Ottawa Senators made it four wins in a row with a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens and Kevin Shattenkirk scored the only goal of the shootout as the St Louis Blues defeated the Minnesota Wild 3-2.

Mike Richards had a goal and an assist as the Calgary Flames saw their eight-game home winning streak snapped by the Los Angeles Kings in a 4-1 loss.
