A day after playing one of the games of his life, Roosters star Todd Carney says he is more than happy to shift positions for the return of Mitchell Pearce in Saturday night's blockbuster against Parramatta.
Pearce was a late withdrawal from the Roosters side that pulled off a stunning victory over Brisbane on Monday night, with Carney starring after being moved from five-eighth to half-back.
The former Raider scored a try, set up four more and kicked five goals in the 34-30 win but has no problem moving back to pivot to accommodate his good mate.
"Mitch will come back and tear straight in. He's a competitor and he will be back firing with all guns," Carney said.
"He was always going to come straight back in. I don't care where I play, especially when we're winning."
Full-back Anthony Minichiello will play his 200th match as the Roosters strive for five wins in a row.
The Eels, on a three-game victory streak, are unchanged for a game that is set to be a sell-out.
Tough-as-teak hooker Issac Luke is back for South Sydney in a massive boost to its hopes of rolling Canterbury at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.
Dave Tyrrell has been elevated to the starting side to replace the injured Dave Taylor, while Jaiman Lowe has been chosen on a five-man bench.
Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore has added muscle to his bench, replacing bench forward Gary Warburton with the bigger and more physical Chris Armit.
"Chris has played NSW Cup the last few weeks and he's responded with some pretty good form," Moore explained.
"He gives us a bit of size on the bench which will also be a plus against the Rabbitohs."
Full-back Wade McKinnon, winger Beau Ryan and second-rower Gareth Ellis return from injury for the West Tigers against struggling Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday night.
Sharks coach Shane Flanagan will go in with the same side that went down narrowly to Canberra.
The Titans have opted against rushing five-eighth Greg Bird back early from a hamstring injury for Sunday's trip to Auckland.
Veteran Mat Rogers will again play at No.6 in a line-up unchanged following last week's dramatic golden point win over St George Illawarra.
Dragons five-eighth Jamie Soward will play his 100th NRL game when the Dragons take on Brisbane in a huge clash at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.
The gifted pivot debuted for the Roosters in 2005 but his career really kicked on in 2007 when he linked with the Red V.
"I'm happy to have reached the milestone but it has taken a little longer than I had hoped," Soward said.
"In saying that, I’m happy that I've been able to string a large number of games together in a row here at the Dragons."
