Code-jumper Will Chambers has made a return to rugby league, joining former club Melbourne Storm on a three-year deal.
Chambers has spent the last two and a half years playing rugby union after leaving the Storm at the end of the 2009 season.
The 23-year-old was part of the Queensland Reds title-winning Super 15 squad in 2011 but failed to land a new deal for 2012.
After a short stint playing with European giants Munster at the end of 2011, Chambers was offered a full-time deal by the Irish club but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to return to rugby league and the Storm.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of years, especially with Munster, who are a great club with awesome supporters," Chambers said.
"This was a very difficult decision with several things to consider."
"The overriding factor was a return to Melbourne to be coached by Craig and being part of the Melbourne Storm culture once again."
Chambers' signing gives the Storm good depth in the centre position, joining the likes of Dane Nielsen, Maurice Blair and Justin O'Neill as options for coach Craig Bellamy.
Chambers first joined Melbourne as a 17-year-old schoolboy and made 42 appearances in the NRL from 2007 to 2009.
