Australia's Wade Ormsby is just one shot from the lead after the opening round of the Philippine Open.
Ormsby fired a two-under par round of 70 to be tied for seventh, one stroke adrift of the six leaders.
American trio Anthony Kang, Ben Fox and Matthew Rosenfeld along with Taiwan's Tze-shyan Lu, Japan's Azuma Yano and Singapore's Mardan Mamat lead the way after they opened with rounds of 69.
There are a host of other Australians in the hunt, with Paul Donahoo (71), Darren Beck (72), Marcus Both (72), Adam Blyth (73) and Adam Groom (73) all within striking distance.
Fellow Australians Kieran Pratt (74), Scott Barr (74), Unho Park (76) are also in contention, while compatriots Rick Kulacz (77) and Kunal Bhasin (81) had disappointing opening rounds.
