Carlos Tevez has called on Liverpool striker Fernando Torres to join him at Manchester City.
Torres has repeatedly been linked with City, with manager Roberto Mancini admitting over the weekend that he wants to sign the Spanish superstar.
However, Reds boss Roy Hodgson expects Torres to remain at the club, calling reports of his departure 'erroneous'.
Liverpool has harboured fears that Torres could walk out of Anfield, with speculation that the 26-year-old was considering his options after a disappointing 2009-10 season.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Tevez, who described his own move to Eastlands as the best decision of his life, urged Torres to join him in creating one of the most formidable strike partnerships in the Premier League.
"Torres would definitely make us better," he said.
"He's one of the top strikers in the world and I would love to have him as a team-mate."
"Last year we ended up contesting the Champions League places. I have no doubt that this year we will achieve that aim and fight for the title."
"The club will pick up reinforcements and this will make us stronger. I know I've never regretted coming to City. It's the best decision I ever made."
Torres joined Liverpool from Atletico Madrid in 2007, becoming an instant Kop favourite in his debut season with 29 goals in all competitions.
However, his recent form has been dogged by injury. He managed only 32 appearances for the Reds in 2009-10, and was only a bit-part performer in Spain's recent World Cup triumph.
