Ange Postecoglou says the Roar have proven themselves at home with two first-up wins, and this weekend away to Newcastle they will be going full throttle to prove that they can be just as formidable on the road.
Brisbane have started the season with a game an hour away on the Gold Coast, a bye, and two home games at Suncorp Stadium.
And with a game in hand the Roar sit third on the ladder, trailing Adelaide and Perth, but Postecoglou knows away wins will be crucial this season and his team will be hunting the three points on their first long-distance trip.
"The key about winning at home is you have to pick up points away to make them count even more, so we have to down there and get a result for sure," Postecoglou said.
"Any points you pick up will be precious points. If you look at the A- League at the moment, no one can tell me that anyone's a shoe-in to win any game."
"If you have a good home record that gives you a good chance to play finals, but obviously the teams that can pick up more points away will be more successful."
"I don't think we can be (more conservative) with the players we've got, and we don't want to be.
"We'll go there and play the same football that we've played."
Brisbane's aggressive play has paid dividends early this season and Postecoglou is proud of their strong start against quality opposition, consisting of three of last season's four highest finishers.
But while the Roar coach says the success continue to pour in if they can maintain their standards, he acknowledges the all-out approach leaves them open to the counter attack and they'll be forced to do it tough at some stage in the season.
"Everywhere we go we'll take the game to them. It means we take some risks, but we're prepared for that and that's the kind of team we want to be."
"We'll get bitten on the bum a few times this season for sure, but if we keep the quality up more often than not we'll get the right results," he said.
Ivan Franjic and Luke Brattan are unavailable for the Roar this weekend, but neither have long-term problems, and with Costa Rican striker Jean Carlos Solorzano now eligible to play, competition for spots is high.
Midfielder Massimo Murdocca will be afforded another start from the bench in his steady return from injury, whereas star striker Reinaldo has declared himself fit and was named in the squad for this weekend.
The Brazilian marksman has been tipped by coach Ange Postecoglou to give Brisbane some added fire-power up front, but even he said that it was a hard task forcing his way back into a side in winning form.
"If you get out, you don't know if you can come back, because we have a lot of quality players," he said.
