Ivory Coast into semis

02/04/2012 11:52:26 PM

Didier Drogba netted a brace as Ivory Coast sent Africa Cup of Nations co-hosts Equatorial Guinea out of the tournament with a 3-0 win.

Drogba made up for a penalty miss in the first half with goals on 36 and 69 minutes, before Yaya Toure's 81st-minute strike sealed victory.

Pre-tournament favourites Ivory Coast have yet to concede a goal in this year's competition and move on to a semi-final clash with the winner of Sunday's clash between Gabon and Mali.

Zambia are also through to the final four after a 3-0 defeat of 10-man Sudan.

Stophila Sunzu, Christopher Katongo and James Chamanga scored the goals, earning Zambia their first semi-final berth at the African showpiece in 16 years.

They will take on the winner of the quarter-final between Tunisia and Ghana.

EPL-The Final Day
14/05/2012 4:41:36 PM
What a day it was; Manchester City had the title, then lost it, then had it again. Bolton were safe, then just as quickly they were gone. Arsenal secured their place in next season's Champions League, while fourth-placed Tottenham must wait until Sunday morning to see whether they will join them or not.
