Fulham 1 : West Brom 1

Fulham 1 : West Brom 1

West Bromwich Albion's impressive away form continued as they drew 1-1 with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.

Despite sitting 15th on the English Premier League table, Roy Hodgson's side have lost just two of their last nine away matches, with Cameroon international Somen Tchoyi scoring an 82nd minute equaliser for West Brom.

That cancelled out Clint Dempsey's goal with 21 minutes to play as both sides were forced to share the spoils.

After Bobby Zamora's deadline day departure to QPR, Fulham looked light-on up front with new signing Pavel Pogrebnyak ineligible after joining from Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.

Fulham did have the ball in the back of the net in the early stages though, only for Clint Dempsey's effort to be ruled out for offside.

Peter Odemwingie wasted a good chance for West Brom shortly after while Marc-Antoine Fortune tested Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale with his deflected strike.

In a good spell for West Brom, Fortune blasted over as both sides went to the break goalless.

Fortune was in the thick of things again, only to be denied by a smart Stockdale save, before Bryan Ruiz could only poke a tame effort at West Brom shot-stopper Ben Foster after creating space for himself.

A goalless draw would have surprised no-one at that stage, but Dempsey's strike brought the game to life as he thumped an effort into the bottom corner after a clever assist from Ruiz.

West Brom kept pushing for a goal though and they were finally rewarded with just eight minutes to play when Tchoyi ran onto Morrison's flick-on and calmly slotted the ball past Stockdale.

EPL-The Final Day

What a day it was; Manchester City had the title, then lost it, then had it again. Bolton were safe, then just as quickly they were gone. Arsenal secured their place in next season's Champions League, while fourth-placed Tottenham must wait until Sunday morning to see whether they will join them or not.
