Failed deals frustrate Tevez

Tevez in limbo after failed deals

02/02/2012 08:44:59 PM

Carlos Tevez has spoken of his frustration at his transfer situation as the January window closed without the striker finding a new home.

The unwanted Manchester City star said the Premier League club rejected offers from Inter, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window.

Tevez has been searching to exit Eastlands since September after he refused to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich, while the player has been in exile in his native Argentina since November.

The striker said he wanted to take up one of the offers made but that City blocked a potential move.

"The situation is very strange for me," Tevez told Kicker.

"I wanted to go and had offers from other leagues, from Spain and Italy. But it did not work out in the end because City did not accept any of the offers."

"There were offers from (AC) Milan, Inter and PSG. But something always wasn't right."

Tevez went on to predict that he could move away from Europe and back to South America in Brazil or Argentina, but added that he was beginning to doubt whether City would allow him to leave the club on loan.

"If all regularities are right and the clubs agree a transfer with City, I can see myself going there, even on loan," he said.

"But after all that has happened with Milan or Inter, I don't know if City wants me to leave on loan."

The former Manchester United forward also felt that the bad image he had developed since being marginalised at City was unfair.

"I cannot understand that but I cannot do much against it," Tevez said.

"People may think what they want."

EPL-The Final Day

What a day it was; Manchester City had the title, then lost it, then had it again. Bolton were safe, then just as quickly they were gone. Arsenal secured their place in next season's Champions League, while fourth-placed Tottenham must wait until Sunday morning to see whether they will join them or not.
