Robbie Keane scored a stunning second-half brace to fire Aston Villa to a 3-2 derby win away to Wolverhampton on Saturday.
The Irishman struck twice from range at the Molineux, as the visitors turned around a 2-1 deficit to win a match which saw Wolves finish with 10 men following Karl Henry's red card for treading on Marc Albrighton.
Darren Bent had given the visitors the lead from the penalty spot after he had been felled by Christophe Berra in the box but the home side responded and deservedly led at the break thanks to goals from Michael Kightly and David Edwards.
Keane stole the show with his second-half brace, though, while Wolves midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong was stretchered off following an accidental kick in the head from Stiliyan Petrov.
With Stephen Warnock absent, Ciaran Clark started at left-back - and it was from his cross in the first minutes of the game that the visitors should have taken the lead, with Craig Gardner heading the chance wide when completely unmarked.
Wolves striker Steven Fletcher then had a great chance himself at the other end, but after David Edwards had found him in the area he could only shoot straight at Shay Given from about eight yards out with the ball slightly behind him.
However, Billa opened the scoring when Bent was fouled by Berra trying to nick the ball off him, with the striker stepping up to send Wayne Hennessey the wrong way and give his side the lead.
They did not have to wait long to equalise as Frimpong did well in the middle and after feeding Kightly, the winger easily turned inside Clark and shot across Given and into the net.
The drama continued in a thrilling first-half. From one corner Given saved a Johnson header and Albrighton nodded Henry’s follow-up off the line, before minutes later Wolves took the lead - Roger Johnson flicking a corner on for Edwards to nod home.
Winger Matt Jarvis had the final chance in an entertaining first-half but after cutting in past Alan Hutton he could only send his shot over the bar.
Keane drew Villa level in the second-half, with a fabulous 25-yard effort on the turn after Clark had headed the ball down to him.
The Irishman, who began his career at Wolves, refused to celebrate.
Frimpong was then stretchered off after a collision with Petrov as he tried to home a corner, to be replaced by Nenad Milijas.
After a brief lull Wolves went down to 10 men as Henry trod on Albrighton after the pair had tangled, leaving his side 15 minutes to play with 10 men.
And the winning goal came not long after, Keane slapping in a stunning strike from 20 yards out to give Hennessey no chance - once again failing to celebrate as he ensured Villa of all three points.
