West Bromwich Albion took all three points from Stoke City for their first win at the Brittania in 30 years, in a 2-1 victory on Saturday.
Stoke City custodian Thomas Sorensen suffered an ill fate for the opener, when a James Morrison strike swerved cruelly late, and the Dane's intervention did not halt the ball from trickling into the net on the half-hour mark.
Albion struck back via Cameron Jerome with just minutes remaining, but Graham Dorrans' late free-kick saw the visitors seal a historic victory - and their first for 2012.
Sorensen had little to do early until Morrison forced a picturesque diving save from the shot-stopper on 26 minutes.
The Scotsman's long-range drive from a counterattack was bound for the top corner until Sorensen intervened heroically.
The Baggies' volition and passing continued to overrun their hosts, and the visitor's pressure was rewarded just minutes later through Morrison's curling effort past Sorensen.
Stoke did little in reply, ultimately entering the tunnel at half-time without a shot on target against the relegation candidates.
Tony Pulis' men were better in the second half, but could rarely trouble West Bromwich 'keeper Ben Foster.
The visitors' football was still superior, and Roy Hodgson's men looked likely to hold on for a victory.
The hosts were granted a lifeline after 70 minutes when Gareth McCauley felled Jonathan Walters in the area, but Foster continued his excellent match by guessing right to save Walter's tame spot-kick and preserve the visitors' lead.
The home side finally equalized just before the death, when Jerome nodded in substitute Jermaine Pennant's cross with only minutes remaining to seemingly seal a share of the points.
But right before the final whistle, Dorrans fired from a free-kick from long-range which bundled through the area and somehow into Sorensen's net.
