Blackpool succumbed to a late Dickson Etuhu strike to draw 2-2 with Fulham in their first Premier League game at Bloomfield Road.
Newly-promoted Blackpool started confidently, with Charlie Adam, who captained the side to last season's play-off final victory, a constant menace as he sprayed intelligent passes across the park.
Bobby Zamora opened the scoring for Fulham 10 minutes before half time, somewhat against the run of play. There were appeals for a foul on Ian Evatt from the home players but the goal was allowed to stand.
Brett Ormerod, restored by Blackpool manager Ian Holloway to the side after missing last week's 6-0 thumping at Arsenal, had the ball in the net after 18 minutes but his diving header was ruled out for an offside.
The home side levelled Zamora's opener when John Pantsil turned the ball into his own net in the 71st minute. Luke Varney's goal-bound shot was horribly deflected and caught the Fulham defender off balance.
Blackpool looked to have grabbed all three points at their revamped home when new boy Varney struck 14 minutes from time. On loan from Derby County, Varney played a one-two with Ormerod before slotting past David Stockdale.
But Etuhu grabbed a point for Mark Hughes' Fulham in the 87th minute when he chipped over the advancing Matthew Gilks after being cleverly put through by Moussa Dembele.
