On a beautiful Thursday afternoon in Napier, New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and elected to bat in the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe.
With the sun having beaten down on the McLean Park wicket all week, there is likely to be plenty of runs on offer.
Zimbabwe also faces the prospect of having to bat under lights later on, something they are not accustomed to doing.
New Zealand will look to follow the same philosophy as in the previous ODI in Whangarei where they knocked up 372-6 and cruised in by 141 runs.
From that match, the home side have opted to rest Kyle Mills, who is the 12th man, and left out fellow paceman Tim Southee altogether.
Mills' Auckland team-mate Michael Bates comes in for his ODI debut while Doug Bracewell replaces Southee.
There is one injured-enforced change, that of Dean Brownlie. The middle order batsman fractured a finger in an attempted catch at Cobham Oval and will be out of action until at least the upcoming South African series. He is replaced by off-spinning all-rounder Nathan McCullum.
On the other side of the fence, it would be a shame if the Masakadza family had made the long trip over to Napier to see their sons in action.
Both have been left out of the XI after playing in the Whangarei defeat. Older brother Hamilton has been replaced at the top of the batting order by Tino Mawoyo while seam bowler Shingi makes way for Brian Vitori.
