Australia captain Michael Clarke is unconcerned by the Twenty20 loss to India ahead of the start of the one-day international series.
India claimed their first win of the tour with an eight-wicket victory at the MCG on Friday and enter the triangular series, which includes Sri Lanka, full of confidence.
Clarke, who no longer plays the shortest format of the game to focus on Test and ODI captaincy duties, is confident the defeat will have little impact on his team.
"Unfortunately, we can't win every single time we play. We would like to, we can and we train to do that, but India are a very good team," he said on Saturday.
"It's a different form of the game and we have to make sure we prepare well today at training. We'll need to play some of our best cricket and I'm confident we can beat them."
Australia, the top-ranked side in the 50-over format, meet India in Melbourne on Sunday in the series opener.
The last time a triangular series was played in Australia was in 2007-08, a tournament India won against Australia and Sri Lanka.
India batsman Suresh Raina believes the Twenty20 win was of huge significance to his team, lifting their confidence ahead of the series.
"It was important for us to win the last game. The morale is very good at the moment, everyone is feeling very positive at the moment," he said.
"We have youngsters in the squad and they showed really character and responsibility. I know we'll do well in the one day series as well, and the youngsters are looking forward to it."
"We have Sachin (Tendulkar) and Zaheer Khan too - they have experience. We'll get the morale from that and do well in the one-day series."
