Floyd Mayweather says he'd pay Conor McGregor $15M for megafight

The $15 million for the fight plus pay-per-view revenue would easily be McGregor's biggest pay day.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was the one to start negotiations over a megafight between him and UFC champion Conor McGregor. The match is nowhere close to being finalized but that hasn't stopped the two from engaging in a war of words for months, with McGregor going as far as obtaining a California boxing license.

The UFC superstar is bullish on his chances of knocking out the undefeated legend, but, as is with boxing, negotiations over money have put the potential fight at a standstill.

Mayweather spoke about the negotiations Wednesday on ESPN’s "First Take," going into detail about the possible fight with McGregor. The 49-0 Mayweather says he offered McGregor $15 million up front in addition to pay-per-view profits.

The $15 million for the fight plus pay-per-view revenue easily would be McGregor's biggest pay day. According to Fox Sports, McGregor earned $3 million at UFC 202 and 205.
